Mobile Solar Cold Storage & Dryer
Problem Statement:
Farmers are lagging in agri-logistics solutions which can enable them to safely bring their produce from farms to markets. The requirement is to reduce post-harvest losses and provide add-on income.
Solution:
A highly efficient solar-based farmer friendly mobile tractor-trolly based precooling - cum - cold room with dryer for further processing developed by Rampur Krishak FPO as part of "Atmanirbhar" initiatives.
Garnered UP Govt.’s Special Appreciation and Attention in Krishi Mela 2021 Lucknow where Govt. announced the Subsidy Model for our indigenous product. Honorable UP CM and Honorable UP Agriculture Minister visited and inspected Rampur Krishak’s Cold Storages.
Silo Solutions for Long Term Storage
In addition to the existing silo, five additional model silos of 100 MT capacity each are also being constructed for storing food grains at the Rampur FPO. Grains can be stored in the silos for several years without spoiling. It takes up to Rs. 10 Lac to build a 100 MT capacity silo, and Rs. 20 Lac to build one of 500 MT capacity, with the latter providing a better storage to cost ratio.
